New found Capdown multimedia - tonight ive been searching around the
web for good stuff on the band, and have found quite a bit...
The BBC Radio 1, Lock Up and Steve Lamacq sessions have some good stuff
on their website this includes:
A short film which takes you on a night out to Nottingham Rock City and
features Capdown, Hundred Reasons and Million Dead. You also get to
find out how Mikey (The Lock Up) got to be a presenter at Radio 1 and
why he loves the punk scene so much, well worth watching for any fan of
capdown related underground music Watch it
Steve Lamacq has a recording from an interview with Jake and Keith on
the 23rd April 2002 listen to it here
Gravity DIP Records have a media player on their homepage, where you
can stream Capdown songs like New Revolutionaries, I wanna Riot, Act
Your Rage and MV4 as well as music from other bands on the label Click

The band have confirmed that they are to play at Glastonbury festival
this year, on the Saturday night which is the 26th June, I think they
are in the "new tent" but I’m not 100% sure about that. The
festival has now sold out, but if you're that desperate to go,
I’m sure there will be some tickets on Ebay going for some
ridiculous prices, even though they are clamping down on the re-selling
of tickets this year. For any more info on the festival, check out the
official site www.glastonburyfestivals.co.uk
They are also supporting the mighty LESS THAN JAKE on two dates of
their UK tour this May, which are:
22 May - Plymouth Pavilion
23 May - Cardiff University
Tickets are still available for both these dates, so grab yours now
from seetickets.com
They are also sorting out some gigs on the 9th/10th/11th/12th of June,
which are in Switzerland, more info to come later. The band are working
really hard on a new record and are just about to start demoing this
week.

Capdown’s second single this year is New Revolutionaries, its
released on the 6th October and offers 3 new tracks, again produced by
Larry Hibbitt of Hundred Reasons giving it a bigger rock sound. New
Revolutionaries is a great ‘punk-rock’ record in
every
sense and re-enforces how important this band is to the UK punk scene
and alternative music in general. B-sides feature long time live
favourite “Mr Music” and a reworking of the Rancid
classic
“I Wanna Riot”.
